Welcome to my Blog

This blog is about my experiences having suddenly lost my hearing at 39 years old. I now have two cochlear implants.

I am currently working as a lecturer in education and a special needs teacher (early childhood). I have two sons and a step-daughter.

My posts are my personal views, feelings and experiences and are unique to me, not all people who are deaf, and not all people who have cochlear implants.

I hope that my posts will help people either having experienced sudden hearing loss, people thinking about a cochlear implant, or family and friends who want to offer support. x
