Cochlear Annual Report 2014

The Cochlear Annual Report for 2014 has been published and guess who is in it? You'll never guess. I'll give you a clue ……………… someone with a cohlear implant ………………… too hard? It's me!

They didn't photoshop my wrinkles out but Woman's Weekly would describe that as being "natural and embracing my age". Here is the link to my wrinkles: http://www.cochlear.com

WA Training Awards 2014

I didn't bring home a win from the WA Training Awards on Thursday night (I'll have to be happy with top four in the state) but it did give me a good excuse to dress up :)

Steve (my husband) and I at the 2014 WA Training Awards
Nice little certificate to prove I was there.

A Broken Woman

My cochlear broke! On the weekend the part that holds the ear-hook to the processor broke off which meant I couldn't wear it on my ear. It still worked if I wore a headband but seriously, one cannot go around wearing a headband at all times. So I dashed off to my audi and she replaced my broken processor with a shiny new one!!! I'm a very happy little deaf/hearing girl :)

My new processor!

Happy Deaf Birthday to Me!

Today is a special day, my third deaf birthday. Three years from the day I went deaf. I will celebrate with the family by going out to dinner and having a bit of a reflection. Three years on I can honestly say that going deaf was one of the best things that has ever happened to me :)
