Deaf Becomes Her: DON'T SNEEZE!

I just sneezed. It was followed by the most excruciating pain I have ever experienced and I've had two babies. Don't sneeze if you have just had surgery on your cochlear. Trust me on this.

This blog is about my experiences having suddenly lost my hearing at 39 years old. I now have two cochlear implants.

I am currently working as a lecturer in education and a special needs teacher (early childhood). I have two sons and a step-daughter.

My posts are my personal views, feelings and experiences and are unique to me, not all people who are deaf, and not all people who have cochlear implants.

I hope that my posts will help people either having experienced sudden hearing loss, people thinking about a cochlear implant, or family and friends who want to offer support. x
